How Namesake works
Namesake 如何运作
A token names a creator. Its fees land in a vault that splits them 80/20. The creator's 80 % waits in an escrow under a key made of their platform and account id, until they prove it's them and claim. Nothing expires.
Overview
Namesake lets anyone launch a token on BNB Chain that names a creator on Douyin, TikTok, X or Farcaster. The token's fees go to a vault. The vault keeps 80 % for the creator in an escrow and sends 20 % to the protocol. The creator doesn't need to sign up first: the money waits under their account until they prove it's theirs.
A token names a creator
One fixed line in the description says who.
Fees land in a vault
Every trade pays the token's tax into it.
The creator proves it's them
A code in their bio, OAuth or Farcaster.
They claim, whenever
To a wallet or a Binance deposit. Nothing expires.
Supported venues
We only list venues whose fee can be pointed at a vault on-chain. Each venue keeps its own cut before the fee reaches the vault; the token page shows it.
Supported platforms
A creator is identified by the platform's permanent account id, never by the handle. Handles can change or be sold; the id can't.
Naming a creator
When you launch, you type a handle. We resolve it to the account id with two independent sources and store the key platform:id (for example douyin:10000000000042). If two sources don't agree, we don't launch. The token description gets a fixed line, Fees to douyin:@handle via Namesake, so traders can see who the fees are for.
The 80/20 split
The vault splits what reaches it: 80 % to the creator's escrow, 20 % to the protocol. The split is fixed per token at launch.
Example, Flap at 1 %, per 100 BNB of volume:
- Fee
- 1.000 BNB
- Flap
- 0.100 BNB
- Commission
- 0.054 BNB
- Vault
- 0.846 BNB
- Creator
- 0.677 BNB
- Protocol · 20 % + commission
- 0.223 BNB
Deployer reward
The person who launches can keep 0 to 10 % of what reaches the vault. It comes out of the creator's 80 %, is fixed at launch and is shown on the token as Deployer earns {x} %. If the deployer's wallet is the creator's own linked wallet, the reward is simply added to the creator's share.
How claims work
Four steps: find your account, pick the wallet that will sign, prove it's you, collect. There is no gas to pay: a relayer sends the transaction for a 0.5 % fee, capped at 1 % in the contract. Nobody at Namesake ever holds your money.
Proving it's you
On Douyin and TikTok, paste a short code like NMSK-5TZ88X2R in your bio. It expires in 48 hours, has no crypto words in it, and you can delete it as soon as the bind is proposed. On X you sign in with OAuth; on Farcaster, with Sign in with Farcaster. Every bind then waits in public for 48 hours (7 days if the account already had a wallet). You, from your current wallet, or our guardian can cancel it during that window.
Getting paid
My wallet: BNB and USDT as they arrive. Auto-pay daily: we send what accrues to your linked wallet once a day. Binance deposit: paid as USDT, the format exchanges credit reliably; the swap happens inside the claim with a minimum you choose.
Unclaimed fees
Opting out
A creator can stop tokens from naming them. It needs proof of control (OAuth, bio code or the linked wallet) and waits 72 hours in public before it takes effect. After that, new tokens can't name them and existing ones are hidden here. Their share stays in the vault, and they can undo it for 90 days. Opting out by email only hides them off-chain; it never moves funds.
Opt out of Namesake$NAME buyback and burn
$NAME is the Namesake token. It is not launched yet. The protocol share (20 % of every vault, plus Flap's commission) is held until launch; after that it buys $NAME weekly on the open market and burns it, in public transactions. Unclaimed fees and opted-out shares are never used.

MarketWalletChanged.CreatorFeeRecipientChangeProposed.If Namesake and its attesters disappear, balances of accounts that are not linked yet stay frozen until an attester signs again. Linked accounts keep claiming without us.
If a token is not registering
Check, in this order:
- The vault is attached to the token.
- The fee beneficiary or recipient is the vault.
- The quote asset is BNB, USDT or USD1.
- Buyback is off (genius.fun).
- The creator's key resolved with two sources.
The token page tells you which one failed.
